well cooler air running through the engine will perform better then warmer air. its the same concept i think. all the engine heat and alot of it coming from the header makes it a very hot environment under the hood. all that heat warms up the s/c and all the air running through the s/c gets warmed as well. i noticed somewhat of a difference between flooring it 2 minutes after i started the car, and 45 minutes after driving it.

Heat soak is horrible on the s/c. I lost about 10HP on the dyno if I did a consecutive hot run. I had to let it cool to get the best numbers. The heat keeps you from building max boost so you lose power. Cooler air is denser and can hold more oxygen which helps the burn process and allows you to make more power. Hot air...not dense...cannot hold as much oxygen.

ok gotcha thankx....

i guess only solutions is wrap the header and a FMIC system....maybe even a vented hood....it would actually surve a purpose then.

no FMIC, its not worth it on the S/C, you lose more than what you would gain

and why are you under a rock? are you ashamed of having an automatic?
aw poor guy do you not realize the signifigance of having a free hand while driving with your date in the passenger seat?
some people just aren't smart enough i guess...

^^lol!

pete, gimme some time to break it in first!

yeh no FMIC. you lose a lot of boost with that and like gjpjr said, its not worth it on the s/c. i was thinking of doing water to air aftercooler. i think kytc is doing that to his, im waiting to see how it turns out.

if you're doin some daily driving, you dont feel much of a difference because its a linear increase. you feel it pick up a little quicker though. some jerks if the ecu decides to shift close to the sweet spot. i've only put it at WOT twice and both were very satisfying . but like i stated before, the heat soak hindered the second WOT.

was in Nemesis' ride yesterday...the pull is cool, but after riding the Cobalt Supercharged, It will be hard to like something less than the Cobalt Supercharged.

The RSX-S is still faster than the Cobalt SS Supercharged, but it isn't even Force inducted, so does that mean that the RSX-S can even take on and beat stock SRT4s, Supras, Evos?
