Yeah this is why i love SL. Despite the few idiots that come on every now and then majority of the people I've met have been nothing but awesome. This jester of generosity goes a long way in my book.

Our trip didn't turn out so well. He started off with a baseline pull to see where my boys car was at first before he started tuning and he produced 224whp/206wtq. After trying to install his MBC controller he noticed that the car would spike to 9psi then drop all the way down to 3psi. After trying out 3 different controllers he realized that there was something wrong with our wastegate. So unfortuantely after a 5hr drive we find out that we have to replace the wastegate, which he didn't have in stock, then come back. Other than that Toan was great and the customer service there is unmatched. We should be heading back there by next month or two depending on if we can find a reasonably priced Tial wastegate.

WOW! So sorry to hear that man that sucks!!! That is the worst thing that could happen! YOur so close to geeeing tuned and it dosent happen
Hope you get it back down there soon!

I figured. Those are utter garbage!

Had one customer whom I was supposed to tune just off the WG spring. First pull 7 PSI. I asked to confirm if this was a 7 PSI spring, he said it was 5. Second pull, 6. Third 5. Fourth, 7. Fifth, 5. I was like WTF! We need to swap out your gate. Put in a TiAL 38mm, 7 PSI every pull. Finished the 7 PSI tune, tuned for 10. Car was done.

Had another customer, similar story with an 8 PSI spring...Ran 10, 9, 8, 6, 8.....I literally touch the top of the wastegate with my hand for it to break into two pieces.

After these two incidents with these gates, I have sworn never to use or even tune a car with one on it.

iv had a friend of mine get one that didnt have a valve seat...the ring must have fallen the _____ off while being sent off and we never could find it...but i suppose the same thing could happen to a tial if they didnt use that red tape to keep it in place.

The red tape is only to keep the seat in place during shipping. Not to be used on the car. Bolting the WG to the manifold holds the seat properly.

Good luck with the car man. In to see/read your experience. OG ZPI Stage 1 turbo kit owner here. Use to run the 16G and ran it for a good 2 years with the afromentioned Turbo Concepts WG. Guess I got a good one of the bunch as it was consistent in boost pressure. Then I added a Turbo XS Boost controller to it and cranked it up to 11psi. I then re-configured the entire kit basically and turned it into a Stage 2.0 as I changed quite a bit in it. Switched to a 20G turbo and ran that at 12lbs of boost.

This was the 20G @ 12lbs of boost before I sold the whole setup.

Sold it because I am eager to go with PTuning's turbo kit now due to wanting to be more efficient and wanting to do Time Attack and all that jazz.

Someone asked what is the 16G good for HP wise. The Big Evo III 16G if I recall was rated up to 380whp. I only ever dynoed the 16G one time and that was at 7lbs of boost. Made 250whp/260wtq @ 7 PSI. That was not on a dyno like PTunings though. It was dynojet. PTuning dyno would SQUASH those numbers...lol. It's truly a hearbreaker. If break at least 300whp on their dyno you are doing better than most.
