DIREZZA SPORT Z1 Star Spec 225/45 R17

they are one nasty tire.. i loved them... i was at about 325whp and on a warm day they would try to break loose in 2nd but not fully..... they are also a great tire for cornering.... for drags... go with the radials that everyone else suggested... i have had both for both scenerios

From what I've read on other forums is the NT05 is a pretty decent tire. I think I will be trying these out since I dont plan on changing tires and driving my car daily

From my past experience those BFG's hook up nice...just don't expect a lot of mileage out of them!

Only DR's I've ever used were BFG's.

So does anyone have a definitive answer as to what the best high-hp street drive-able tire is?

Yeah there were alot of people talking about the star specs at one time. Think theyd hold 3rd gear with 500+ whp? Id just like to be able to get on it on the highway, and not have it break loose like crazy hah

I think low 500- mid 400's no. They won't break loose.
If your just doing a 50 roll. I think they'll be fine. They are a very sticky tire. 225/45/17's held up well. Like I said. 325 whp and barely spun 2nd. I think a little wider tire. You'll be golden. I also recommend it because it's a great street tire for cornering.
Bfg's might be better going straight. But you won't have the tread life and the cornering capabilities of the Dunlop.

Just my $.02
I have never had these in a 500 whp car or heard of people using them on a Tc.

My boy had a 460 whp srt4 and he swore by these tires. Never. Never spun 3rd unless he was banging out if second. Again. Just my $.02.
These tires will be on my Camaro once I hit the 400 plus mark

Did you have to roll the fenders for the 235 DR's?

star specs wont hold over 500+ lol unless you gonna run 285 or higher. 500+ is alot to put to the ground

yes I understand that... i was just giving my personal experiance with them.....
i think 460 isn't that far off of 500 and he he didn't have a real wide tire on his... thats why i said what i said..
i really dont see ANY tire holding 500+whp with less the 285's that is gonna be a good all around tire.. when i say all around tire.. i just mean you wont have to replace it in a month because of the compound...... and they will be bad ___ for cornering....
i just dont see drag radials as a good option for the street.. again just my opintion
