I dont know about anyone else... maybe thendawg feels the same way but i really dont care about corners right now. lol I dont think im gonna be takin any hard lefts or rights on the higway... I just want it to hold str8. With that said, how does the star spec compare to a nt05, bfg t/a dr, advan neova etc...?
Looks like something like the NT05 or Star Spec will be the way to go - the others Im afraid will simply wear too fast for street use. My car is not my daily driver, but I definately take it out more than once a week lol, so I dont want a tire that Ill only get 2000-3000mi out of. Also has anyone ran a 255/40/17 on a 17x9" wheel? Will this fit without much work? Keep in mind, my fender liners are already gone, and I can def roll the fenders a bit, but I dont wanna mess with pulling them and all the body/paint work involved.
Just got done reading a pile more reviews on the NT05 - its starting to seem more and more like the way to go
I just wonder how wide you can go on say a 9" wheel without having to pull the fender.

255's on a 9" wheel are just fine. Should have no problems with a proper alignment.
^^^^ lol he has some custom slicks on his car for the streeeeeeeeeets, lol j/k i dunno about anyone but the bigger the tire the better as long as the tire is below 200 tread count on the street and for the strip some slicks!
on the streetzzz i ride around on the tires that came on my car from the dealership. I dont understand why you need traction to drive around.
If its a weekend and theres a race set up I bring my slicks and a jack

Biggest they make is a 10mm wide right?
Yea the nt01 is actually a road race tire, but still its a softer compound, so compared to a true street tire, it would give you better straight line traction along with better cornering, at the price of tire life?

Than 17x9's with 255's on them for the street - thinking either Star Specs or NT05's
