You are low on break fluid, and your pads need changed, that will go away if you do those steps. And please search a little more next time.

check your pads first..low brake fluid usually means your pads are low so it's using more brake fluid to push the pads against the rotor.

If after you change your pads the light still comes on check your fluid level but don't just add fluid..try to find out what happened to the fluid in the first place..it has to go somewhere and doesn't usually just disappear.

I'm not mad, I have just seen this question asked every week lately. I just added some fluid and it went away, but it really means your pads are low, and need replacing.

ah I was wondering why my car was doing this. I knew I needed brakes but its good to know the car tells you.

quick question is it dependent on brake fluid level, or a combination of pad wear and break fluid level

Its dependent on fluid, as your pads wear, the break pistons have further to push, thus seeming like you have less fluid. If you fill the reservoir then change your pads, you will over flow the reservoir with new pads. That is why people suggest you change the pads. Plus it is a good idea too.

well i wasnt shore where to start this thread because, it seems like this only started happening after i put in my kit, so i thought that it might have something to do with that, which is force induction
