i hear if you buy a sensor for $40 it gives you a massage ... but if you buy the $50 sensor itll give you a happy ending too.

To change the boost. Unless there is some module running external that you can adjust boost with, you need to hook up a laptop to it is what he was saying.

Thats great and all, but what about the people that still want to have decent gas mileage lol. . If you could run two maps your daily driver could be efficient lol.

Dont get me wrong, Im just opening this up to discussion .

318 was it you who said that you get like 8 MPG?

Well nevertheless for someone who is my age, I give you props . I like your setup a lot, keep it up.

You can wire the boost control part of the AEM to allow boost adjustment on the fly (no laptop) , but, as 318_tC said: once you set up the boost by gear you will never need to adjust boost again !

Trust us!

IIRC the 8 MPG was while still using a piggy-back. As you might know partial throttle tunning in the tC is very difficult with the stock ECU in place!. Now that he has the AEM he should be consuming a lot less gas than with the piggy-back !!!

BUT when he goes WOT the story will be diferent !!

Maybe he won't, but I'm ALWAYS going to want to adjust my boost, or at least have the option to when I feel like it.

Wiring the AEM to allow boost adjustment on the fly (no laptop)? What is used to change it with? An external component...like I mentioned.

A potentiometer for a wide range of settings or a toggle switch for 2 or three settings.

Yep,

Every single boost controller on the planet has to have some sort of way to interact with the driver.
Unless there is one with a telepathic sensor to transfer your thoughts to the controller!
