built motor but misfireing..updated with tune still same
hey guys want to know what kind of spark plug is every1 is using ngk or denso.. im using denso ik24 right now still have not gotten it tune yet after the full built and its misfiring like mad.. not sure if its the new spark plugs. bc fi stage 2 cams.. or just the tune.. a/f r. reads 14.4-16.1 at idle and vacuum is all over the place from 18-10hg and stalls

the plugs i use are the ngk one step colder right now...bkr7eix, id check your coil packs....is it only misfiring at idle? also see if your plugs are fouled...need a tad more info
IK24's here. I'm willing to bet you just need a tune. I did the Stage 2 NA BC cams and mine sounded like crap and didnt idle well till it was tuned up. I'd bet the FI cams are worse.
im running on the greddy eman. ult. was tune for 12psi,rippmods cams, mmw header, draxas exhaust, cai, meth and 570s cc injectors, new set up after rebuilt was, 3 angle valve job with 1mm oversize bc valve,bc stage fi cams with spring kit, cometic .051headgasket, world racing intake mani,14psi pulley, 88.5 9-1 wiseco piston and k1 rods with the internal balance shaft removed. i checked all the vacuum lines, check the coils, when i down shift from 3rd to 2nd sometimes i stall, and cel is system too lean, random misfire and every cyl.. im not sure if every1 here had this problem with there rebuilt motor.. and last thing the spark plug is just standard gap i guess .032 also far for break in i got about 90miles haha...

you have a crazy idle? like jumping afrs? sometimes you need a richer idle afrs with aggressive cams to make idle stable.. is your idle rpm surging? does it stall at times?
someone correct me if im wrong but i remember the bc cams having issues with the cam sensor...something to do with the sensor comeing into contact with the pins on the cam. any cam codes? do you know what your fuel trims are?
NO you dont have to gring anything.....the Cam sensor pickups have a bigger gap then the stockers. Its as simple as tapping them out a bit to meet stock spec. Then you wont have a problem.
I went for the NA's cause I didnt do the rest of the head and the NA's dont call for any other mods.
