Default clutch?

with the dezod s1 or the simple kit pushing 250-280, do you need a clutch do you notice it slipping at all? and what are the chances to to damage a rod or piston at 8-10 psi?

I would recommend at min of a Stage 4 Sprung clutch to have some room for growth with our S1. The range of results has been huge depending HEAVILY on supporting mods and tuning.

i dont have the dezod kit, but was pushing 270-280 tq with my greddy setup. after a few months, i finally blew the oem clutch and upgraded to an ACT Heavy duty street clutch/pressure plate, and fidanze flywheel. a bit stiffer in pedal feel, but it grips great.

When I had the tC my clutch blew on the 10th or so dyno pull

Damn mustang dynos! 15% load with 260+ wtq repeatedly, and goodbye clutch.

i think it matters how much you abuse your clutch, because i'm on the greddy kit with 272 lbs of torque and i'm only in boost sometimes, the rest of the time i baby it, and my clutch is fine..

+1

But a stage 4 is what you should order if you opt to get a clutch!
