About 100 miles after getting my new Fidenza UL and ACT Street clutch installed, I started getting CEL for mis-fires. Usually cyclinders 1 , 2 , and 3. Its happened about 4 times in the last 200 miles and Im not sure why. Im figuring it could have something to do with the flywheel being lighter and affecting the starter / timing....... Im running Denzo IK22s. Anyone know of or have had this problem?

Change your spark plugs.

Clutch has nothing to do with the fuel/ignition system

I dont think my plugs ar e fouled. Im running slightly rich under WOT but its not too bad. And I actually checked out my plugs about 2,000 miles ago and they looked fine. I never had mis-firing issues until now with the new flywheel / clutch. Im taking it in to get tuned tomorrow, and maybe that could possibly help. Anyone try or know of these Pulstart Pulse Plugs? They really worth 25$ each?

What is the gap on the plugs?

 

The gap is 0.32 . I know its smaller than stock, 0.44 but I never had a problem with it up until now.

One important thing I forgot to mention was that it only happens on start up. And only when its a cold start. Ive never thrown this code during driving.

 

That gap should work fine assuming the plugs are in a good operating shape. WHat octane fuel?
