Coldest you've run your S/C (outside temp)?
I drove my tC out the other day when it was about 25 out. Ran fine I just let it warm fully up till I left in the morning. I could see how the oil ptemt could mess a turbo or s/c up though. I would like to know what everyone think about the oil temts too.
8 degrees this morning, not counting the wind chill. Turbo ran fine from Boston to Hartford, but I had to warm her up a tad bit longer. It's been unusually warm here in Mass too, but this cold front is a bone especially since I just got back from a cruise in the Gulf.
I have friends here in the AK that run their S\C's and turbo'ed tc's and other cars with aftermarket FI and they run great. If you give your car lots of time to warm up, you have nothing to worry about. Hell, they prolly run better as long as their warm
I've had 18 and 19. No issues. I always let my car fully warm up and and let it sit at idle for about 1-3 minutes after driving. I would suggest at least letting it warm up. Vortech states that the supercharger should not be run without letting the car warm up and run for about 3 more minutes. That way oil temps in the sc are good.
