I have 3 of these left guys and gals.

Also I would like to mention a trend I have been seeing with these. I have sold 16 of these shafts so far. And I keep a recored of everyone and their email and usernames on here etc. I have been saying all along that heat is your main enemy when it comes to the bearings/shaft failing. Well looking at my records here out of 16 shafts, 10 of the orders have come from people who live in warm states, ie. tx, ca, fl, la It just adds to my speculation on the heat part of things so those who live in warm climates the cooler you keep your bearings/shaft the better. Wrap that aftermarket header, get a vented hood.

As of right now i won't be making more of these guys unless I get many requests in. Thanks to all for buying/ recommending/ posting. I hope this has helped your s/c guys who were gonna be SOL without these. SL is the shiznit as I don't think anyone ordered from any of the other forums I attempted to post this on. As always feel free to contact me with any/all questions.

I decided to start rebuilding my S/C with the rebuild kit from "Kiff"(my 4rth blower started leaking oil from where the horse shoe shaped part of the blower and shaft meet), I decided to start with the shaft and see what it looked like, I have the last redesigned shaft from TRD, here a pic:

Here's everything taken apart:

Here's the bolt that holds in the pulley, the one that requires that special key, I had to have someone weld a nut on top of it to get it off, spend all Saturday getting it off with no results, so I Monday I remembered that someone on another post said he did that, what a waste of my Saturday lol....

Hey Gompka, I have a few questions for you, I know the shaft housing tube is different from all the other SC, but does the shaft or bearings look any different from what TRD had been using before? the shaft and bearings look like they are in great condition, they only have about 5K miles on it, the entire thing slid out of the shaft housing nice and easy, its fits nice and snug in the housing with no play. I wanted to buy one of your shaft but ran out of money, I'm unemployed at the moment and this was just an unwanted expense for me. "Kiff" is sending me 2 new better shaft bearings, I'm hoping those last me longer with this shaft then the one's that are on there now, what do you think? should I leave the one's that are on there now, or should I just put the new one's in and hope that the shaft and newer bearing don't crap out and damage the shaft? thanks for your response/help.

Thanks for posting the pics, I have been waiting for someone with the "newer" shaft to take pics. It still looks like the exact same crappy design as before, and your blower is leaking oil @ only 5k so i would say they didn't change all that much. I will look up the bearings and see what they are rated for. Not sure which bearings you got from kik, but for future reference I can get you just the shaft bearings also, just make sure they have contact-less shields. Main thing I would do how that your shaft is apart is add a grease fitting. Btw, where are you located? The hotter the climate the more change of your bearings going out. 70% of the people who buy my product are from Ca, Tx, or Fl... mostly the hotter states.

I just checked the skf part number and these bearings are still contact shields and only 8500rpm!!!! The NTN bearings i use are 13,500 and are contact-less shields, which means more heat. Change those bearings gwtc!

I'm located in CA, I want to do the grease fitting, hoping you can give me/us some instructions on that( a DIY maybe?), I'll ask Kiff about the bearings having contact less shields. Any chance you selling me 2 of those woodruff( I think that's how its spelled lol), might as well fix that while I'm at it, please let me know by PM, thanks.....

All shafts gone! One again I would like to thank all your scionlifers for the support and I hope everyone enjoys their upgraded parts. I am not planning another production of these, as it costs a lot of time and money, unless you guys want me to setup another group buy. I think I would need a minimum of 5 shaft orders to get that going. I do have a few sets of shaft bearings left for anyone that would be interested in that pm me. My website tcsuperchargers.com will stay up so all useful information there will be accessible.

its all good, i was kinda lagging on buying one, but just other things came up that required my funds more than the shaft. Just means I can't push my shaft too hard, or take better care of it.

I just took my 05 into the shop with 2 days left of warranty, charger seemed to run fine but I just told em it sounded a little funny to see if I could get the new upgraded version or whatever, worked like a charm. Getting a new charger installed now, sucks to see that apparently not much is changed. I wasn't ever leaking oil or anything but with my luck the newer version will prob crap out. So if and when that happens I'm all about a newer upgraded shaft. Also wtf is this about a "grease fitting" and how do I do it?

nice plan, well when ur new shaft fails, then that makes you another to buy one of gompka shafts. grease fitting is for the pulley side of the shaft. look for the thread for the grease fitting.
