i have this:
(CRANK DIA x 3.45 (or3.6 for v2) x RPM@ SHIFT) / PULLEY DIA
or go here:

Vortech V-5 F-Trim Supercharger
Max Speed:
52000 RPM
That alone tells us that with a 4:1 setup up ratio on the inside of the supercharger thats a 13,000 rpm max. 52,000/4 The info on the 4:1 is somewhere on vortech's website.
I am using the forumla (drive pulley diameter x rpm) / (driven pulley)
12psi pulley = 65mm
crank pulley = 120mm
(123 x 6300) / (65) = 11921rpm
Not sure if my crank size is perfect i forgot what i measured it to be. But either way just doing 52000/4 = 13000 sums it up.
Even when i told them i need something to go as high as 15000 without oil the bearing manufacturers said that was very high for that type of bearing without oil. 13500 was hard enough to find and thats done using a contact=less seal, more susceptible to dust, but our housings are pretty much sealed anyway. Even then i was told to do yearly inspections of the bearings because thats alot of stress for them.

I see max speed of 65k.
If you check the calculator on the Vortech site you get different results (posted above), and if you check their spec sheet PDF:
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...e=scmatrix.pdf
The spec sheet has a footnote. It shows the formula with a multiplier (3.45) ...close to your 4:1 ratio..but that is being applied to reach a higher number...
still don't know who is right.

it would be sweet if you go in the roots s/c direction....cuz NO ONE has it..and the power it will make is unknown...and it should make descent power...more than the centrifugal

just an fyi, reading all this math is hurting my head.
THANKS A LOT GUYS!
p.s. this was my way of saying *watching.....* but I had to make it interesting.
p.p.s. I hate math & my headache was no lie.

but i am curious as to why vortech and skf are so far off. it's the multiplier that vortech adds.
i have to believe vortech since it's their unit. also, are you sure that was the part number on the OEM piece? I have seen a lot of slight differences/interchanges in the part numbers, a single letter or digit is a big deal. and some don't show it and yet there is a slight difference in ABEC rating (as important as speed rating).
I have to believe at least on the blower it's correct to the right tolerance, since that comes from vortech. on the jackshaft/pulley side, not sure..but i find it hard to believe they would go with such a low rating.
