Software is software...I base my opinion on fact & experience. At a glance software doesn't tell you anything...one might look cooler than another but that doesn't mean anything.
IMO...if FULL STAND ALONE is the only option you have, I'd pick a MoTec over the ones mentioned no questions asked.
To me & our team its more about how the system works; mainly it's drivability & how it responds to the changes you make when tuning.
Either will work...just remember, you get what you pay for.

The AEM EMS, I have been trained and tuning for sometime. So with that being said, it provides enough tools and maps to make a very nice drivable car.
The only downside with Motec even the M400 unit, is that it starts at $3000 and adds options onto it. Then you have to use their custom connectors, which is yet another $100.....it adds up real quick.
Not every Scion owner on here has that dough to spend like that. The AEM EMS we offer is a mere $1700-1800. Even that is a stretch for most...

Not necessarily, MoTec is a system developed for those who demand the best.
The difference is hard to understand if you don't have any experience with stand alone systems in street cars / daily drivers. I have used everything from a Speed-Pro / F.A.S.T. system back in the DAY...to the top on the line EFI x5 unit and until you experience the problems for yourself it’s hard to understand way one system is $1,000 & one system is $5000 but they are suppose to do the same thing.
Back to my motto...you get what you pay for.
focus people... lol
intake mainfold?
i keep seeing you people say, turbo'ed or n/a cars.
will this work on the s/c set up. a local kid is interested in my s/c and was hoping this would work to help him out with the whp gains.
but i never really read anywhere, that somebody done did it..lol

quick update...we dynoed a customers 2ndGen xB this week which we had installed the DESCENDANT intake manifold & our DESCENDANT "Bolt-On & Go" Turbo Kit and at 8psi the car made 298WHP & 308TQ. I'll be posting the dyno sheets & some video next week once I get back in the office.
FYI...when comparing this to the last 2ndGen xB we did which was identical minus the intake manifold we are seeing an increase of 17WHP & 19TQ which is right on point with what we expected.
IMO...boosted applications @10psi + will see 25WHP+ gains.

Has any one done the dyno on a supercharged Tc ?? the runners look shorter and geared for a higher RPM wich means you can bring the supercharger into a far more efficient range to make way better power im make 259.1 hp @13psi weird spike maybe malfunctioning boost gauge , but wonder if i could break 300 ??????
