Descendent or Dezod Turbo Kit?
Stop crying Chad! Go have custom aluminum piping done and it can be whatever size you want. Run 6" piping on both sides if that will make you happy.

Hello everyone! Yes, big price drop! Our website ( www.DESCENDANT-Racing.com ) will be updated in the following days to reflect all the price changes.
The reason for the price drop is because we (WORLD-Motorsports) have began to run a different sales approach on this product line from our original plan when we debut the 2005-2010 Scion tC DESCENDANT Turbo Kit at SEMA last year. Originally our sales plan for the $6495.00 DESCENDANT Turbo kit was for it to include a CARB certification & include the necessary emissions requirements needed for passing smog. However due to the poor US economy in 2008/2009, especially the state of CA, programs such as CARB (California Air Research Board) have suffered major budget cuts due to the terrible deficit here in the State of CA.
CARB as we've known it in the past has been a state funded program which grated street legal certification to aftermarket components which is now rumored to be surpassed by new legislation which would be funded by the federal government and required by all 50 US states versus only in California.
With all this said we decided to remove several of the CARB required components from our turn-key DESCENDANT turbo kit and lower the price to something much more reasonable for our market. Best thing for the customers is that the price drop didn't sacrific our customer service...you still get the lifetime warrantee program & a kit that is 100% MADE IN THE USA! We still use the same BULLSEYE POWER Turbo, AEM fic with PNP Harness & the super high quality GOODRIDGE hose & fittings with TRD Pan, filter & gaskets!
i prefer function over form. I really don't endorse any turbo "kit". I just think it's funny about people worrying about a better BOV. from what i've seen the descendant system is setup for function. the bosch 110 BPV (BYPASS VALVE) is super great. (I made over 550rwhp with one) no tuning involved, and is MAF friendly. to each his own I guess
i am new into the turboz game too. i was reading much on zpi and they seemed the best but they dont make turboz anymore =( this guy rythmnsmoke or travis or something spoke very highly of them i was saddened to hear they passed on.
also it seems that ebay offers much quality at competative prices. i read rave reviews.. they sell lots of them so much be top notch im thinking.

Its kinda funny that there are so many "Turbo Company" vs "turbo company" which is better.
It pretty much falls down just to personal pref! You can compare it to condoms! Everyone has their preferred brand!

hahaha... it is what the customers in the end want.... but the poll and thread helped with my choice
ptuning offers the same life time warranty, and their kit is also turn key.
ok, now i'm new to posting. but i'm not new to this forum. i have followed scionlife for sometime now.but i think it's time to add my $.02.
1st a question.
if the dezod kit is a "great" kit, where are the cars thats compete with this kit.
and why on 8 psi. is this kit only 260-270 whp ish vs. the 280 whp on the descendant kit
i would imagine.. now this is just my thoughts. the dezod kit reminds me of the greddy kit. i guess lower level.
a good "starter kit".
but to me a starter kit. isn't worth it.
because the numbers just aren't there. when you could go with something alittle more. like the descendant. or go even further witht the better ptuning kit.
personally i don't understand how they can compete with the big boys. again just my thoughts.

^ im going to have to say i can count on 3 hands the number of ppl that have had issues with a dezod kit and or not happy with them, dezods willing to work with you if you have a problem.. to an extent, but as he was saying as it bieng a "starter kit" what qualifies it to be just that? every turbo "KIT" is a starter KIT hence why there called kits. Now Ptuning has a RACE turbo kit which is for the guys strictly looking to go big boy.. any kit has to be upgraded to push large amounts of power whether it be the turbo, intercooler, manifold w.e there is not 1 kit out there that will put you into the big boy leagues on what u get just with the kit. Upgrades are always needed to go further.. and did u not see jessica? she put down over 500whp on a dezod kit (upgraded turbo).. now there getting something else which i will not say because im not sure if its 100% certain but anything can be done with any kit.
and jwaggz im not sure if it was about "competing" as much as it was about personal problems or financial issues with the other companys because zpi ripped. and Todd had some really nice product, im sure everyone would say they would take his EL mani's over dezods log mani.. clearly made more power aswell.. dezod just has a larger name, a MASSED production kit pretty much, customer service and easy availability and a handful of employees, and lots of money to back it. But now the ball has turned and its in dezods court.. can they hang with Ptuning? Hell.. can descendent hang with ptuning? One thing both have that dezod doesnt are actual scion race cars... that perform monthly whether it be road course, drag, time attack etc.. i love seeing actual kits in use like ptunings.

^ dezods best selling S1 kit was not designed to be a high hp kit. It was meant to spool quick and run good. If your looking for over 330whp/trq then yea you would go w/ a bigger turbo and maybe some 3" turbing on the 3" pipe back - but other then that ...its not needed. Ptuning has some good products for sure - I like their exhaust and the turbo kit looks official. I was just saying that dezod has sold soooo many kits and to say that a few handful had issues? Thats great. Whats that equal out to be 1%? It all gones on tune. If your turn is crap and running real hot you can crack a manifold - things can happen. Thats one of the main reasons why I dont have a turbo right now (lack of a good tuner that is closer then an hr away and only around some weeks of the month).

PTuning has the only kit that you do not need to upgrade anything to make it "Big Boy". The RS kit comes with everything needed to make 500-550whp. That's Big Boy Territory right there. Everyone else....need to change stuff. If they advertise that you don't, then they won't tell you how UN-reliable it will be to use their standard stuff to make that power.
And Jessica's tC made 527 on Q16 race gas sure, but what they didn't tell you is how long the standard Dezod stuff lasted at that power level. Hence why he put the call into PTuning for some upgrades.
And +1 the other companies did no fault because they couldn't compete. They faulted from the inside out. As we have seen countless ZPI kits smashing on stuff it comes up against. And Turbo Toyotas....well if you can get that **** to even fit right, then you can go smash stuff too...lol.
