in regards to the oily air inlet.. ive read that i could be due to a few things and that as long as there is no play in the shaft and the air outlet is clean then its most likely nothing wrong with the turbo.

i was told it could be because one of these

*Oil in the compressor outlet can be the result of excessive crankcase pressure (turbo oil cannot drain back to sump as intended),
*restricted turbo oil drain (draining problem again),
*high vacuum at compressor inlet (restricted air cleaner?- oil is sucked out).

does this sound about right? i was also told he had a oil line rupture on him once. i dunno if that has anything to do with it.

im becoming more concerned... i just checked the turbo outlet and there's oil dripping down into the pipping. idk if this is normal or not so please help me out. there is a slight oil residue in the pipes till they reach the intercooler however there isn't much oil residue on the cold side of the pipping.

so is this normal guys or am i freaking out for nothing lol

thanks

to be on the safe side give paul a call since this is a dezod kit and see either A how much to have him do a re-seal or B to buy a seal kit and replace them yourself. Bad seals won't necessarily mean that there is shaft play all the time seals wear out in time out of curiosity how many miles are on this kit?

it HAS to be a bad seal, its all the same symptoms as my old ZPI stage 0. only way to truly find out is send it out to someone, open it, or install it and full PSI it to see any smoke

Not saying they will cover it but doesnt hurt to get a price on a seal kit from dezod, better to save it than to just junk the turbo and i know some people who would do just that

man im getting really worried... i cant sleep now ugg. i dont really want to be spending another $800 bucks on another turbo right now.

this really isn't Dezod's responsibility and the seller says kit has only 5,000 or so miles on it.

so far iv heard to rebuild a turbo will cost ya 200bux at most so id deff check it out. iv never had to do it so im just going off of what others have stated. Turbochargers.com rebuilds them but you would have to ship it to them, look around and youll see a few more......sorry you have to deal with that. good luck

rebuilding a turbo is not that bad, at most I would pay 150-200 for that
