downpipe size question
it comes with the kit....and i dont have the money so a new spipe
im looking at the dp and it looks as if the previous owner didnt use a donut gasket which is prob why it fit becaue the sock header uses the donut gasket that makes the pipe noe 3inches

its a zpi sage 1...but i have a 5lb spring so itll be a stage o with intercooler....and i have no prob running open downpipe lol...i mean after a while i might get a spipe or something to quiet it down so i dont get pulled over
i'd recommend either getting a turbo-back exhaust either ptuning or a custom one, i'm getting a custom one done because it's going to be cheaper for me
5lb spring as far as wastegate you mean? honestly, if its stage 0 with low psi then you really don't need a 3" dp...

^^ thats what he have lol, 3" wouldnt hurt.. im not so familiar with stage 0 zpi, but if stage 0 zpi dont come with spipe, then it should fit the stock spipe, but what flange does your downpipe have?
yea travis he made this stage 1 kit him self i notgiced this when the 16g was clocked downwards and the intercooler piping was routed different insted of jpiped...and it had a open dump didnt think zpi ran open dump....all in all i think the 3inch will fit if i dont use a gasket
ZPI ran an Open dump as in wastegate, but now open Downpipe. Hell I might do that myself until I get a new s-pipe. My Downpipe and S-pipe were built as one. Less chance for a leak between turbo and exhaust, but makes it more difficult to work around.
3" on a 16g is over kill... You'll have to thermowrap 3/4's of the exhaust pipe to keep the egt up enough to maintain flow...
But in the area of nice sound, and hearing a lot of turbo spooling, the 3" does come in handy.
