Here's the problem I see and have experienced with my i/c setup

The problem is not in front of the engine it's on the side. I just don't think there is enough room over there to run the piping needed to combine the two and have an intake and intercooler (which will be a MUST at this point). Idk, I'm sure it can be done somehow but I personally would rather just get a higher boost pulley (which will give more boost at lower rpm) and if needed build the block with the money a dual charge setup would take.

For some reason, I don't find this to be very efficient.

this would be done for pure power, not a daily driver at all...thats why its a few years down the road, just wanting to get insight from the s/c and t/c commmunities

get some pen and paper.

M62 Eaton supercharger with custom log manifold, with the TB mounted on the end of it (custom bent pipe to locate TB in OE position). that would put the drive for it at the rear really close to the sheetmetal around the spring. Should be feasible after some firewall and sheetmetal smacking with a hammer. But try to make it look purdy. the supercharge has a built-in bypass so that can be used to disable the s/c when turbo is spooling.

Then install your choice of turbo kit. Pat yourself on the back, your done.

I've seen it done a long time ago, I think it was on a cavalier.

pick of a cavy with the s/c only with a manifold that im talking about.

Oh yeah I think it could be done much easier with an eaton, but not with the TRD blower

So, Dyno Queen then, as I can't even see this car doing that good in a 1/4 mile due to turbo lag.

turbo lag would be removed by the s/c....with a s/c and a turbo, the car would have a huge hp curve, not justa huge spike...thing....a 12 psi supers, and a 15 or so psi turbo....thats gonna be a lot of boost across the board..

turbo lag wont even be noticeable due to the roots blower...while your waiting for the turbo to spool, the supercharger is already spooling up for you...also when twin charging, the turbo has to be small so there really is no lage to begin with.

So whos is going to rip there tC apart and attempt this Mod? Dont make me have to go out and buy a tC to do this to. It seems simple enough to do and only cost a few dollars. LoL....

What if you had a S/C then one of those rear mounted turbos that went under the rear of the car(idea of rear mount is being thrown around in another topic).
Would that be considered dual charching ? and wouldnt that be an easier way to go about it ?
