The concept is great. The bad thing about turbo vs na is that NA you can create a flatter, or at least more linear power curve. The dual (or sequential) charging can allow you to use a SC or a smaller turbo ahead of the larger one to create the nicer curve. That is the purpose of this type of setup. So turbo lag would not be an issue.

The issue here would be fitting it all under the hood.. and still intercooling it. The first must is a positive displacement supercharger (eaton roots). The centrifugal one not only takes up front space, but also has a curve similar to a turbo.

But, with our engine layout, it will be very difficult to fit a roots or screw type blower on it. You really need to rock the engine forward just a bit and modify the hood, or do some serious firewall modification to make it fit.

It would definitely turn into a money pit of a project, but would be fun in the end.

you could do what jotech did...lif the whole engine up... put it all together...the cut and trim accordingly from there inorder to fit it.

it would kind of funny to see a tC with a blower stiking laterally up the hood, like an old muscle car but sideways lol

heh heh.. I think just a hump in the hood to make way for rotating the engine forward would be the case

but hey.. we should do the big scoop just for fun :D

hey no one said that its going to work well... i wanna say super street did a roots blower, with centrifugal and a turbo... and it worked, didn't really produce as much power as that jumbled mess of piping and welding should have... but its nice to dream, plus if someone popped the hood of their car and i saw that... id give em props... You can't deny it would be interesting to see it work lol... then id take em out and whoop their **** with a single turbo setup ::

One of my friends has a cavy and visits a forum...I think it's like j-body.com or something....anyways he said there where like 3 or 4 twin-charged cavy's on there at the same time and they all had blown motors within 2-4 months and they where built internally...to much boost and boost spikes where the cause of the engines blowing

It is j-body.org. i used to be on there all the time. There are a couple of dual charged cav's, but I have not payed attention to whether or not they are blowing engines...

The old iron duke...what a piece of poo

The 2.4 had oiling issues, but I beefed that up by installing the 2.3L oil system. It was bulletproof with the crank, Eagle rods, and JE pistons...and the head I built up to be good to 8000rpm...Was a shame to sell off that car.
