All these rumors about the ebay turbo blowing up, would it be fine to buy the piping cheap and just to buy a aftermarket turbo?

 

Shouldn't be a problem if you don't mind it fitting like crap and hunting down boost leaks from flimsy hose clamps. You will probably spend the difference paying someone to make it fit properly and upgrading the pipe connectors. Keep saving your pennies young padawon.
