So I'm driving home from a friends house this morning in my 2005 tc. I slow down to take a turn and once I make the turn, I step on the accelerator and it doesn't accelerate, so I give it a little more and that's when the car jerks a bit then kicks out a cloud of smoke. I pulled over right away, checked my fluids, and everything was fine. Car started just fine after that. As I go to continue driving, it does the same thing shifting into 3rd gear. At this point, I'm pretty nervous but need to get home seeing as I'm in the middle of the desert, so I start the car and start driving again, and absolutely nothing goes wrong, it's running just fine. Any ideas as to what happened?
