I got pulled over today for my exhaust being to loud. I have Strup headers and the TRD exhaust. does anyone know if that set up is louder then 95db.

^^ its a simple fix it ticket im sure.. show proof that you fixed it and contest it.. it will most likely get thrown out.

 

you should move over here, i run open 3" exhaust and have yet to get a ticket, knock on wood.

open dump no cats 2.5 inch from the turbo to the tip..

no tickets! haha and im surrounded by beauty!

 

when i had my vw but i had a 6 inch long 3 inch down pipe off the turbo

my new set up will be 3 inch turbo back no muffler just one glass pack wait only if i ever get my stuff

 

im running a 2.5" catless w/ a 18" resonator, pretty quiet actually. the loudes my car was when it was a straight pipe to my hks hi power..... DAYUM. when you stood behind it in the morning when it was all cold, you would feel it just rush inside you lol. it was just really raspy

 

did u get a ticket for your header too?

 

 

bolt on your stock muffler for a day and bring it down for inspection (if required) then swap it back to yours

 

^ thats how you will do it in the east coast. west coast is a lot different, specially california

 

 

that's what i did before... no biggie. just keep the noise level down and you will be fine...
