i know that the greddy e-manage for the greddy turbo is optional although recommended. i am just wondering what the downsides would be running without the e-manage. thanks for the input.

 

it will only boost to 5 psi, and probably run like crap.

and instead of emanage, get new aem f/ic. much better piggyback ecu.

oh, and you'll need bigger injectors too.

Please don't run without the emanage. If it's a price issue check out the classifieds cuz you should be able to find someone selling one cheaper then new.

I couldn't tell you for sure but I think it does a lot more then the basic and ultimate emanage

Everyone will tell you not to run a greddy without management. I would listen to them.

 

I'd never run it without management. I've seen what my a/f does with a bad primary o2 sensor (air/fuel sensor) and engine management.

The bad o2 sensor was due to me running WITHOUT the emanage for a WEEK.

 

The 18G turbo is pretty big and will most likely blow up the 2AZ without EM Blue or similar.

Find a cheap EM Blue and 550cc injectors to make it run right with the GReddy kit. (You can have those if you sell your XBOX 360, PS3, or a laptop if you're really that strapped)
