Default Hey DEZOD... why do these parts not fit???

I am hooking up my turbo, and I get to step 9. I go to connect the fitting to the engine block, and the male part does not fit into the opening of the block, as shown in the instructions. I see the note that the silver part may be defective, but even just using the brass part, it does not fit. The male end of the block fitting does not fit into it. The silver male end does not fit either.

I'm so so so very sad. Please tell me what's going on here.

I suppose it's a bad brass fitting? Mine was stubborn as well but it's the same one we send out and it ended up screwing in fine after playing with it for a while. It should just be a 1/8" brass fitting with the NPT side for the oil line. Everying should go together fine once you get that piece in.

Note it is also a tapered fit piece, and only turns a few threads.

I will have to give it one more try, but I could not even get it to thread at all, let alone turn it.

Thanks guys for the input.

threads like this amuse me. a simple PM or phone call would yield much better, and faster results.
