it did have it (well on that resistor) thats why i didnt catch it at first till i hooked it up in my car and i was idleing in open loop...what made boomslang ever put those things in on the 02 sensor. just removed the resistor and now everything is running smoothly.

yeah harness is fine...i wonder though how weezy ran around with it and didnt say anything about it. im sure it threw a code and prevented any control over the 02 sensor.
oh snap i just realized he did say something about it and blamed a base map i sent him...lmfao...i think he even replaced his primary o2 sensor as well. lol...but i could have sworn i sent him my old pnp harness and he sent me his...maybe that was someone els (i know for sure i swapped with ecko at some point)

^if i remember correctly this harness/fic was on his friends car, but glad you got your isht figured out, lol
kinda glad i sold it to you what with all the manual/cd/box missing, someone unexperienced might have freaked out, lol

^lol, its not all bad news
basically i got a promotion, im an account rep for my company, so ill be racking up miles everyday and dont wanna deal with the risk of something going wrong.
but with the added raise i might just buy something used and reliable and just buy a complete kit next time, lol

well here is the deal, I have never put a resistor inbetween the ecu and o2 sensor, just doesnt make sense to me why you would want to do that. it would make more sense if they would have tap'd the harness using a resistor but putting it inline like you see above. I suppose what they were trying to do is pretty much lower the voltage comeing to the ecu and use the fic to up the voltage to compensate. however if your setting the o2 map to percent to just get datalogs (in my case) it creates a problem.
for cam and crank its a 2.2kohm but only use it if needed. for my car i needed it and also marcials car needed it. as a matter of fact carlos and kyle are using them. marcials car and mine had to have em for sure, my car threw a cam/crank code without em (dont remember what codes they were any more) and marcials car threw a code and would jerk pretty bad at 5000rpms. after resistors it never jerked again.

I was thinking the same thing, at first i just ohm'd it out from main connector to fic connector and got 9.6kohms. i thought i wasnt touching the probes to the pin firmly enough to get a good reading....lol

83 pages of a tC that is no longer boosted...FAIL! Get with the program Chris or i'm going to have to add you to my payroll until this ish' gets back together.
I hope all is well bro and the lil one is doing fine! I peeped your oil catch can, awesome! Let me know how much for one with the stainless steel lines. I'm NA now but it looks good so I want one

dude im full of fail...lol..things are sorta comeing along so we will see what happens. ill holla atcha about the catch can. kinda busy with installs this week and iv got to finish up on a couple of catch cans aswell
This mod kind of interests me because I don't understand how shorting two wires together and causing a voltage drop can prevent CELs and poor performance. Any insight?

thats a good question Kev...I would venture to think it would somehow share the voltage spike helping to even out the reading maybe. I know its not the answer your looking for but not sure. As a commercial electrician you dont get a chance very often to play with resistors, well atleast i havnt. In electrical school they didnt even touch on resistors.

ill do an experiment, ill take out all resistors and run without em. Iv already done it before but ill get a vid and data log of it. I already have a data log of marcials car without resistors and the voltage spike affected a couple of readings. let me see if i can find it
