Vaccum hose should go to the side of the waste gate not the top. BOV should face the other way.

Intresting... is your wastegate not connected properly?? I know that is not the same as my Tial but the Tial connects to the other port. Also did you not have the right tool for HKS blow off valve clip?? I could help ya out with that if thats the case. Hit me up if you need any help and welcome to the tC boosted family. ZPI FTW!

i had the vacuum line connected to the bottom of the wastegate before...we tried switiching it and all of the sudden the turbo started working....yeah, i couldn't get to the store to get the tool to do the blow valve ring, haha...so i had to improvise.....does it matter which way the bov is facing?

Nice pics. Its going to be hard to keep that engine bay clean though. I would have some kind of a dump tube made for the wastegate dump.

yeah, i heard the open dump will make the engine pretty dirty....was thinking of fabricating a tube for it.....i'm assuming this would change the sound...?

prolly but with it facing up like that....Your going to melt a hole in the heat shield on the hood. Thats like 1,500 degree heat coming out of there...sometimes hotter.

well right now, the wastegate is dumping downwards i believe, cause we had it the other way first, and it fried some of my hood insullation, but now, no heat damage....didn't really use any instruction cause they were all bad, but anyone with pics for this kit would be helpful...i'll search first though

I just took the flange zpi gave me, got a muffler shop to weld on a dump tube and bolted that to the wastegate...then decided it was just too loud and took the downpipe and got a close dump welded on. As far as the clip for the BOV, you can go to any auto parts store and get a special set of pliers that will help put the snap ring in

Depends if youve ever done anything like it before. If you have never worked on cars before I'd pay someone else to do it. I installed both of our kits and I had never done a turbo install before but Ive been building dirtbike engines and working on cars for a few years. Took my about 6-8 hours for one kit by myself.

this was my first turbo build, and it wasn't too bad.....the thing that took the longest was the oil pan on my kit.....also, making sure you have a wide array of tools, etc makes the process go by much quicker....if you don't really do mods to your car by yourself, wouldn't recommend doing the turbo either...just too much room for error

I took 3 years of auto shop class in high school. I completely tore down and rebuilt a mustang 5.0 engine, tore down and repaired whatever the hell a dodge caravan has, custom fabricated a new brake line, installed a few things around the engine, shocks, springs, installed systems, thats just what i can remember.

Im definitely no expert but i do have a little bit of experience working with cars.

I noticed the oil-return is installed on the side of the pan instead of the front. In one of the pics you are taping the oil-pan then on the other the oil fitting is welded instead. What's the deal. Looks good you have any pics of the oil return line routing?

Just curious on why you mounted the WG upside down, and the HKS BOV backwards? You said you fixed that now, so take new pics, and upload them directly to the thread.

PS...good job by the way. How does she drive? What gauges do you have for monitoring?
