well i had to install the wastegate upside down cause righth now i don't have a dump tube for it and with the other way, with an open dump, it was frying my hood and searing the insullation material.....turned around the bov and the vac line is correct now....the oil pan, i tapped myself, and welded it on....cause i forgot to get the pre tapped oil pan, which is not included in the kit anymore...you have to watch where you tap the oil feed or you need an elbow adaptor for the return.....right now i'm running a boost gauge and wideband

No, I think you misunderstood. Having it the way that was pictured where it was searing the insullation material on you hood....WAS upside down. The port should have been facing down to begin with. Like this.....

It's not passing in front of the engine, but around behind. I can get some better pics if you want.

The wastegate line needs to be on the other port. You can really run the line however you chose around the engine bay...Just be careful of heat.

The BOV will more than likely leak with a hose clamp holding it in place. I would suggest fixing this prior to running the car.

We will give you a wastegate flange if you would like a local muffler shop to build you a dump.....this cost about 20 bucks to have done. The longer the tube the more sound suppresion.

Kit looks great and we all make miastakes first time we do anything...The wastegate upside down is a first but don't worry abotu it. Fixed now and running good..Call us if you need anything.

yeah, pics would be good, so i can avoid overheating the pipes and stuff....will work on rerouting the vacuum lines this afternoon, and post new pics.....haha, no more confusing set up pics, lol....thanks for all your help guys...in theory i know how the turbo works, etc...its when you have to do it for the first time that you can make these kinds of mistakes...and myabe i was a little too eager to get it done, rather than thinking it through...haha....

Just curious on why you mounted the WG upside down, and the HKS BOV backwards? You said you fixed that now, so take new pics, and upload them directly to the thread.

PS...good job by the way. How does she drive? What gauges do you have for monitoring?
It's hard to tell but by the looks of it he has a boost gauge under the hood.

haha, yeah....we put the boost gauge there to test for boost, as a temporary test, cause i couldn't find my vacuum pressure tester.....we finally put ithe boost gauge in the car, and all the lines are good to go....only thing "wrong' with it would be the clamping of the bov instead of using the ring...which i didn't have the tool for...will post pics of the "updated" engine bay

Thank goodness; because let me tell you... THOSE PICTURES HAD ME WORRIED.
So am I reading this right; you still have the BOV clamped on there?
Just run up to an Auto Part store and buy snap ring pliers for a couple bucks. =)
Anyway can't wait to see the new photos and welcome to F/I. <3
