Installing heat shield on turbo?
Ok - might be a stupid question, but is it safe to unbolt the bolts on the turbo to install the heat shield? Do they require thread lock or anything?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
nope, i took my whole turbo apart the other day...
as long as you dont' half ___ it you should be fine.
make sure you bolt everything properly!
oh btw. you can make a heatshield for a turbo using a stainless steal cooking pot that is cut in half.
=D
