Default intake manifold leak?

im loosing 2 pounds of boost. and i can hear what sounds like an exhaust leak from the fire wall inside the car, but cant hear it outside. it sounds like the intake manifold is leaking, has anyone had this problem, or any ideas of what else it mat be. its not the sharge piping i tightened it as tight as i could. thanks

well, it wouldn't be too hard to inspect your intake plumbing through the turbocharger and intercooler to the throttle body and intake manifold to find a leak.

also, check your vacuum lines for leaks.

Are you using the stock bypass valve? If you are that could be your leak right there.

Edit: I noticed your using the turbo xs byv. Maybe you have a vac leak where you tapped for the boost gauge?

ok... here is a question. Did you make any adjustments to the BPV? If it's not adjusted properly, I think it will lose boost. When I installed mine, I was only boosting at 5, while with the stock BPV it was 7. Take a look at that. I doubt its the "crappy intake manifold"
