Hey guys !

I'm back in NYC and now looking to put the tc back on the road to keep the mile off my 5.0 and finally drive it !

tC has been stationary for the past 2 years, obviously i should change the oil. On that built engine i only have 500 miles so should i run regular oil for few hundred miles and than drain it ?

i also want to change transmission oil as well. What's the good brand these days for us ?

and one more question for my own knowledge, does anyone know who makes ptuning 900cc injectors ?
in my 5.0 i'm running ID 1000 so was wondering WTH do i have in my tC. lol

Let's go back to the tensioner topic !

I have the part, my brother was able to pull the old one out while i was away. Issue is that his hands and mine are too big to fit the new one in.

I went to Westchester Toyota today and they quoted me $160 to install a new tensioner ! (and i already have the part)

Does ANYONE know of a shop that can install it and NOT rape me for a $160 !

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

They are Fuel Injector Clinic.

Hey Yev! I would advise an oil change for sure. Full syn blend.

Trans, super fan of Gear 300 from Motul for the tC.

Call Steve at Vinny 10 Racing and see what he can do for ya...

Whats going on Paul !

Just called vinnyten and spoke to Brandon since vinny was not available and steve was working on some car.

He quoted me $215, i told him that dealership quoted me to do it for $160. After a 5 minute hold he came back to the phone and said they will install it for $150.

Interesting how the price dropped $65 within 5 minutes, which leads me to believe that first quote was out of the sky. And still if shop's 1 hour labor is $100 ( i think it's $100) so it takes 90 minutes to install a timing chain tensioner ?

Old one is out, i have the new part and it just needs to be installed.

I may be mistaken but i think it should be 1 hour labor and about $100.

And tranny fluid what Paul suggested Motul 300. Can someone tell me how many quarts ?

And what should i do with 2 year old gas in my tank ?
I'm thinking just basically idle and drive the car slowly to burn it as fast a s possible and than fill it up with fresh gasoline mixed with techron fuel system cleaner.

Can someone suggest anything ?

Drain it or put fuel stabilizer and water remover in it, no boost just drive normal ro burn it out.
