J3st3r's Setup(s)
Did you really just say that you ditched a standalone for a piggyback? I am not trying to be an **** Jester. You have been at this game for a while.....This build has been going on since 2007 or so IIRC

Unless you are running a Motec and cable T.B. then there is no such thing as stand alone in the tC world. Hydra and Haltechs are still piggybacks, they may allow for a broader array of tuning options, but the factory ecu is still in place. Since my car is not a dedicated track car just don't see the reason anymore to fight something that really in my case will be overkill. The emanage is proven and reliable, I am not looking again for over 400whp and I know the Ultimate will be all I need. Unfortunately that damn hindsight thing.... wish I would have followed the k.i.s.s. philosophy to begin with....keep it simple stupid!!

If the stock ECU is giving problems, switch to cable and run the standalone like we did the AEM EMS controlling everything like fuel pumps etc OR simply drill a 1/8" pilot hole in the TB plate and be done with it.
Standalone engine management consists of full control over the combustion cycle 100% programmable by the end user. AEM, Hydra, Haltech etc all do that. What am I missing here? What problems are you having?
Hell, if you really want to do something unique or 100% right, ditch the stock ECU and the AEM 30-1900U can be wired into the car to run everything. You will have some nightmares on wiring for a few days, but once it's done, you are good as gold. Then, switch to a cable driven throttle body and you are just like a Honda or anything else.
You're going backwards.....Believe me.
DBW is not impossible to get rid of nor impossible to work with.

Motec is not the answer!

thanks in advance.
thanks in advance.
Took me a long time to find the timing belt tensioner.. I looked and looked.. Never found it! But then i seen this, a timing CHAIN tensioner and figured it might be what you were looking for!
Off topic question.... is your wife/girlfriend on the Scion Exposed panel? If so, tell her to have dragracing and/or autocross again!!!!!!!!! Myself and friends will make our way to Ohio if that is the case. Hopefully your car will be ready?
We put in our request for drag and autoX as well...

I'm sorry for going off topic in your thread... But i'm just trying to figure what i will need to do in august and because detailed pics of the engine in your thread i decided to ask.
If you have an issue with me asking anything here let me know and i will remove my question. But so far i could not find a definite answer.
