Default jumping rpms

I bought a new scion 2 days ago and i noticed that after I thow it in neutral to come to a stop( I have a 5 speed) the rpms drop to 750 then to 1500 back and fourth till i stop??? Its N/A but this is the only forum were more the mechanics are! does any one know what this could be. Is It just cause The car is new and the obd-II is still learning? or is this something i need to get checked out?

Get that checked out. I had mine since mile 4 and it never did anything like that (except after I went turbo).

They all do that. It's the drive by wire throttle. Nobody realizes it probably because they don't look at the tach as they come to a stop..

It doesn't do it all the time. I keep a pretty close eye on my tach and it only does the 700-1500 once every 2 weeks to a month. I come to a stop and notice my needle is going up and down. After I take off and come to the next stop, it is fine. I haven't thought much of it because it rarely happens. If it startes happening more often, I will probably take it to the dealer and have them check it out, but for now, its fine.
