I don't know either but we will get it handled....

the only thing i can think of is reving the car while its cold. When its cold iv noticed oil pressure can get pretty high, i tried to never let it get over 60psi on my car. iv personally seen 60psi (2000 rpm's)on a cool day around the first few min of start up. idk exactly how high you can get it cause like i said i don't let it get past 60psi.

a journal bearing turbo can withstand quit a bit of pressure but it has its limits and not to mention the turbonetics turbo thats used on the v1 kit (oil cooled turbo) that hix has isn't exactly known for durability. however his turbo has already been rebuilt once by the previous owner so who knows.

too many variables here to really point a finger but judging by the way the car was treated by the dealership it really wouldnt surprise me.

I am off Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Anytime you can come out is coo. Going to get my alarm put in one of those days too. There is alot of work I need help on though so it might be more than a day; Like motor mounts, oil pan, checking turbo, boost leak, compression leak, and anything else you could think of to check to see if the engine is still intact.

Funny thing is the part I am most ____ed about is that I wanted to be the one to blow the engine up. Then they went and blew it up changing out a key.

it may not be blown but its a possibility.

how bout this, monday i come over and we try to knock out what we can then thursday invite Marcial over and take care of his motor mounts and anything we missed on your car. leave friday open if indeed we need to look at building an engine or replacement. I have a spare block and head but they need to be rebuilt so atleast if you had the money friday and the time we could have that ish sent out to a machine shop i use (have them machine flywheels for me and so does Carlos, they do a fantastic job on them so i would trust em for an engine) for honeing and other stuff.

I could swing that. I wanted to build the motor just not quite this soon... I was going to use the money I have to pay off my credit card and try to pay off the motorcycle. Oh well. I guess that will teach me to ever go to a stealership for any reason.

Not going to be able to get the downpipe redone or get that new WG now... My dad is getting new side skirts for the car as an early Christmas present, so that saves me some money. Although I might pitch in half of the cost overall and get the car repainted while they are doing the side skirts.

I have really bad luck alot of times... Like recently losing my job, getting hit by a drunk driver, and now my car get butchered over a key install. But everything always find a way to work itself out in the end.

^^ very good point to keep in mind...

also another tip, look at the BBB sites for your area and see what kind of rating they have. will give you some incite as to the quality of service they provide.
