mightygnu...yeah, I KNOW I won't pass in Cali, which is why I dont' live there anymore! ...
But what I'm wondering is if I'm just driving around cali over the weekend, will a cop actually pull me over. And if they do, and they see it, will they require me to go to court in Cali, or just sending something for me to show up in Vegas? Cause I can fix it in Vegas...just not in Cali.

I believe this is just like if you were to get a ticket in California, you would still have to appear in court IN CALIFORNIA. So if you are down here, drive safe.

I would imagine that if your car is registered in nevada you are not subject to californias emissions laws and therefor cannot get a fix it ticket

Yeah...that's what I was HOPEING, but I don't think it's the case.
For example, tint laws in Vegas are really lax, but they are different in Texas.
When my buddy was driving through texas, he got stopped for tint and he told the cop that his tint is legal in Vegas.
The cop said that he's not in Vegas, he's in Texas, and the laws there are different, so he had to remove his tint.

That sux, cause I was really lookking forward to cruizing PCH this summer...

I dont think you would need to obey our emissions cause your tC is registered to Nevada

Yeah...but the point is that my car is still giving off emmisions in cali.

What I'm most concerned with is what will happen if I get pulled over cause my $hit is super loud with no cats and no resonators now!

as dumb as it sounds you have to adhere to each individual states rules and regulations even if you are just "passing" through. even though you might be legal in your home state, once you get into another state you might not be. its your responsibility to check with local rules and regulations (wherever that may be).

IIRC, removing the cats is a FEDERAL EMISSIONS violation.

I don't know what IIRC is, but I know removing the cat's are illigal....that's why ALL tC turbos are illegal...but my AEM F/IC keeps my AFRS in check...no CEL mean I pass in Vegas!

Hello Cated Random Tech Downpipe via Dezod?

Yes, I have a Subaru 450+ Hp graded cat on my turbo's downpipe.

So...I have all of my cats...

Why am I illegal?

Complete an utter stupidity on law makers parts.

That is what I am trying to say! So how is it that a 450 twin turbo gtr with 8 cats is legal but the tc with cats is not?

If they could justify it with good reasoning I would not care. However, nothing about car manufacturing makes sense and neither do the laws they place on us.

i talked to my mom about this and she said that if the car is registered out of state, you do NOT need to follow their emissions. but IDK

Eh, I don't think so, you may be able to try and weasle out of it by being registered and living in the other state, but the likelyhood is probably not. I mean it is the states laws that matter, so if you are in CA and get pulled over, they probably will ticket you and you will probably have to have it written off in CA since it was issued there.

I would assume it is just like a speeding ticket, you get caught speeding in CA, you go to to court in CA, regardless of where you live.

Also, just as a note (for future reference Mr Meaty), IIRC = If I Recall Correctly,

cleantc...is your mom a cop? or a lawyer?
I might be able to get it taken care of in Vegas if I get ticketed in Cali, cause I know some people, but I think to be on the safe side, I'm just going to bolt on my stock exhaust before I drive to cali! So if anyone ever sees me rolling in Cali, dont' try to race me caues I'm gonna have back preasure like a MF!
