Default What TURBO to go with

Of all the Turbos on the market which one would you and/or have you pick(ed) and why?

Factors of consideration: Most output, best bang-for-the-buck, most durable, best looking, most integratable, etc......

What makes Dezod better than Greddy or Garret or etc.. That's the point of this topic.

If you searched you will find your answers. This section alone has the answers...

Well in my opinion they are all great kits but dezod is good company selling a great kit that makes proven power.

For example. I have their kit and i am running 5psi and have 230whp, 286wtq.

I like greddy as well but dezod is my fav. I almost went with a turbo toyotas setup but decided to go with a Dezod instead

Are you asking about Turbos or Turbo kits?

If I am going to be a salesman and promote myself:

Output: Turbotoyotas Ver 2.1 kit (Standard Series)
more efficient manifold = more power per psi and a linear powerband

Best bang for the buck: Turbotoyotas SIMPLE kit.

no other kit offers what the SIMPLE does for the price and it has more included options than any other manufacturers kit.

Most durable: Any of my kits....never had an issue and if there was (and there shouldn't) Lifetime warranty on all parts that were fabricated

Best looking: Turbotoyotas Ver 2.1 or the Extreme (overkill if just going for looks)

Integratable: Most of my kits are all upgradable with just a few pieces...just depends on what you are going for.

I can say at this point right now I have all the other manufacturers covered in terms of power, Manifold options, colors of coatings and chargepiping, turbo options/upgrades. And as far as custom goes...well I am here for you.

I have the SIMPLE to the EXTREME for a reason

Now what it really comes down too is what are you looking for out of a kit? ie expectations

How do you drive your car? What are your future plans etc.

Answers to these questions will determine what works best for you.

Regards-

Todd

OiC. To me, it seems like more of a preference thing that is making this determination.

Can you clarify as to what justifies Dezod's Turbos over Greddy, Garret, World, Turbonetics, DZM, and TurboToyotas to add to the equation.

From TurboToyotas it sounds like they have Dezod covered. Throw into that the "Lifetime warranty on all parts that were fabricated".. Sounds to me like they have a lot of ground covered. But to answer their question(s) on different parameters, let's say for debate we have a person who wants a daily driver than we have another for autocross'n, than another for straight drag, than finally a hybrid of all of the above With all those different elements what would suite what the best, why & how etc...

Love it...you make my job easy

Ok here you go...simple terms

Autocross- need a really broad powerband, cant spool to quick, but need to be responsive. To quick and wheelspin becomes an issue in and out of corners. Needs to pull on the straits.

Drag racing-same powerband as above, but needs to peak closer to the top of the powerband. Cant spool to quick as traction down low is key..again

Daily Driver-hmm same powerband maybe?? lol

The autocross and daily's are easy topics...the real question would be how fast/quick do you want to be in the quarter mile?(realistic)

Keep em comin'

10s,10s,11s,12s,13s...
Your not going to roadrace a car that goes 10's in the quarter mile on the same setup.

With boost control you can roadrace a car on the same setup and run into the 11's in the quarter mile. Stock motor probalby not, all depends on how the rest of the car is setup:

Full interior? suspension setup? lots of variables.

Where do you want the car to shine? roadcoarse or drag strip? there is happy medium there but a turbo setup is only part of the equation.

One of the most important questions is can the driver drive? lol

So I take it your in the market for a turbo kit...what do you want out of a kit? your expectations?

Dezod or TT are you're best bet. TT offers a selection from the most simple setup to an extreme setup, while still offering quality product and puts out great numbers. Dezod offers the same quality and performance, but has a limited selection compared to TT.

You can't really talk 1/4 mile numbers because it could be different with different drivers/tires. Basically, if you're looking to get into the 13's, any kit will get you there that can put 260+ to the wheels (without driver error and traction factored in). 12's, you're going to need something big that's capable of 350+ whp, and I don't even think 11's or 10's have been achieved yet on a street tC..

I have a TurboToyotas kit and I love my setup. Todd has been awesome throughout the whole process and the parts I received are good quality. The manifold options TT offers are AWESOME! Anyway, just thought I'd throw in my $.02. If you have any specific questions you'd like to ask an everyday driver of a TurboToyotas kit, PM me; I'd be happy to answer them.

I beg to differ considering our EMS options, upsell-able pieces and customer support. Not to mention the longevity as the longest standing tC turbo system manufacturer. With an S1, T.E.A. kit and Signature Series kit, I would say that we are about even on options.

Ok-

I always try to educate and be as un biased as I can as far as these post go:

Take away all the personal opinions. ie Dezod did this for me, Turbotoyotas did this for me etc. You can here that all day long.

Make me a list of the kits or manufacturers you want to me "break down" and I will answer them as honest as I can as if I was as outside customer.

Todd
