Default MMW Secret-weapon supercharger intake

http://weapon-r.com/english/index.ph...oducts_id=5357

if i use this intake with my supercharger will it still make it too lean? its supposedly made for the supercharged tC but still would like to know if i will have to tune it

i just got an email from Kenny with ZPI

Modifying the air filter will not make the car run lean this is internet rumors. The car runs excessively rich from TRD.

Modifying the air filter yes will not do the system any harm (such as a K&N or TRD air filter). I would not put in a CAI unless I was prepared to do some tuning on the dyno.

With just a CAI, your engine probably will not explode, but that combined with any pulley change will make it too lean for sure.

Just keep in mind....the internals of these engines weren't designed with boosting in mind. The TRD reflash provides for safe conditions...That's just my $0.02

Any why spend $245 on it? You're going to get maybe 2 hp. Unless you're going for the bling factor that is.

This isn't Forza where an air intake upgrade will net you like 35+ hp.

ive been reading on it an ppl have been saying that the HP gains are actually pretty good on it. not to mention the dealership i bought my car from didnt give me my stock intake so i dont have the top airbox part for the supercharger install....i do plan on getting emanage ultimate to tune it so it should be ok i think?

Was the MMW Intake tested with a stock Pulley? Im wondering if It would be safe to use with a stock pulley. Since I can't put on my NST at the momment anyways.

so putting this intake on a TC supercharged will not make you void warranty and not make the car too lean?...just wanted to get it clear

Putting a intake on a TRD Supercharger will voild the warranty, correct me if I am wrong here, IF they can prove whatever you brought the car in for, was caused by the intake.

When I got my S/C installed the tech basically told me that the CAI I had would be a waste to even put on and I would be running WAY to lean.

Just my $0.02

^^ no, if you tamper w/ the TRD S/C at all then the warranty for it is GONE even if the problem was not caused by the i.e intake or header.

yeah if one really wants the intake for a s/c then like everyone says you have to get some sort of piggyback to tune it correctly.

but yeah if your n/a then nothing will void the warranty unless it was the product that caused it.
