Sweet! I bought a truck since my car isn't ready and I planned on getting one anyway. 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT already bought EDILive AutoCal, K&N 63 series intake, plan on getting headers once I'm there also plan on exhaust upgrade and that is it. Hoping while I'm home to see the engine come to life with the tC
well my tuner said i'll need to torque my head bolts down more, apparently the 65 ft lbs that ARP recommends aint enough to his standards..... guess it'll be awhile til i get around to doing that.
and thats what i figured too, if ya gonna build a motor, read the instructions. I guess they are used to boosting Hondas and not Scions. Then again, my tuner has a 700whp DD RSX and his are torqued to 95-100, or so he says.

The B&G RS2 coilovers I have use 60mm ID springs front 180mm & rear 150mm. Stock was entirely too soft 6KG F & 8KG R. The problem is the only springs I can find stiffer are significantly stiffer. The replacement are 12.27 KG / 686 lbs-inch / 120 N/mm front & 15.33KG / 857 lbs-inch / 150 N/mm rear will these be too stiff? I want a very firm ride and will need it for the power and torque the tc will have.
been waiting a long long time to see this car finally run. i cant wait to see what it can do. if its good 1/4 mile times you are after, then go as stiff as possible in the rear. about 1,000 lbs spring rate should do it.
also it would be nice if someone made some sort of spacer/shim that fit in the rear coils to prevent the back end from squatting on a launch. that way you could just throw it in at the track.
well i can tell you from experience that just getting 400whp to the ground in a tc is not easy, even with an lsd. you are going to have to sacrifice comfort quite a bit if you want to come close to even realizing half of your cars potential performance.
