Shop is unable to bore my block .5mm over, Darton said the sleeves are at max already. New bare block from Toyota and new 89mm stroker pistons being ordered.

Don't forget to give a short write up on that twin disc and how you like/dislike it. I have had my eye on that twin-disc for a little while now. Hope your build continues to progress. Sucks to read about your previous motor, can only go up from here.

Oh if you havent ordeded a brand new oem shortblock theres one on eBay for $2,150

 

Dont need a short block. I can get brank new oem bare block for 440. Ill update what im planning on doing once tje time is right regarding original build shop.

That is what I was thinking, as you are building your motor from scratch there would be no need for a stock short block as all of it is going to be replaced anyways.

Do you have any more plans regarding the transmission at this point? I wanted to treat my gears as well but is there an aftermarket solution to this?

 

Brand new bare oem shortblock for $440? Care to share info? Im assuming it includes main caps?

 

Bare, it includes block and bottom stiffener, nothing else.

Transmission is completely treated no other plans.
