Default ... my head is cracked...

Yeah... so all you turbo tCs out there know what im saying when i mention the OIL PRESSURE SENSOR... where we get are oil feed from... anyways i was gonna install another pan and make my whole car back to stock cuz my old setup had an oil plug on the pan that was leaking alil bit and leaking from a t fitting i put on the oil pressure sensor...

Well everything goes fine and dandy til the worker gets to the oil sensor... i told him... hey... watch out... my head is aluminum and if you over tighten it its gonna crack.. i offered to do it... but he said its his liability.. so i was like "aiight"... so he cranked it till i heard a CRACK!!!!!!! FUUUGGGin IDIOT!!!

So in short.... the shop tried to JB weld it together..

I told them that tig welding it/filling it up/ re-tapping is the CORRECT WAY

-they said try with the JB... This all happened yester day.... i went by today... they said the car was fine...

-So i got into the car,,, let it warm up... then got rev happy on it...(since the oil pressure sensor is sensitive to RPMs) then oil squirted thru the JB...

- they will take apart the head and TIG weld...

i just hope this BS resolves soon...

so i got my car back today.... however... when i pulled up to my drive way... i looked imediately under the car and there was already a puddle of oil there....Shheeet...

i took it back to the shop... and first they thought it was powersteering... it looked like oil.... after an hour of searching... the source of oil seems to be coming from the VVTI sensor... apparently its loose....

I didnt touch it... everything was okay before the shop... now they are trying to say that it is a common problem on scions... bull...S...

my car was fine before i brought it into the shop.. and now you tell me its me?? nah...

so they said they would fix it tommorow... if they dont... i had enough of this seet..

imma goto toyota and have them fix it and i'l bill em later..

HHAAHA those lying sons of beez...

i went to toyota and found out that the VVTI sensor has a bolt and an o-ring on it... so theres no way it happened to "unscrew" it self...

I'm just gonna fix it my self... and tell them to pay for it... if they dont... hello BBB!

damn... i guess this is really going deep now...

the head that the"shop" attempted to fix was not correct... i knew that but ididnt know that it was a temp fix...

toyota mechanics disagree with the patch job on the head...

Need to replace the head as well as the oil sensors and all that good stuff inside..

estimate is roughly 4500

I just said " how much for a new engine... cuz damn thats expensive..."

i told the dealer.. " hey... I'm gonna buy a ported head so you guys can install aiight??"

" No."

they said that any part that they dont get from toyota or not new from toyota... there is no warranty...

so basically the engine will be under warranty again even though i'm over 75000miles right now... so thats pretty cool...
