Why would you care about what "trolls" think? The enthusiasts on this board would find it straight up legit and interestingly knowledgeable.

^ Agreed. I am very curious to what a unichip's effect on the SC tC is. Was it atleast enought to justify 800 dollars?

Do a search on the unichip and you will see it's well worth the money.

^^^ There is no such thing as a TRD header for the tC...Hmmmm. Actually the TRD exhaust is an axelback as well. And how in the heck is the stock tC making more hp and torque than the one with the "header"? I am really interested in this product but would like to see some actuall dyno's. Maybe a PM would be ok huh Munch?

i have no clue about those dynos -- the numbers are way off and seem to be in reverse. I took them right off the homepage.... munch says that this setup is sweet if tuned right.

how much are you willing to sell them for?

i said to myself i wasn't going to modify my brand new car w/ that 60k mile warranty, but those new pulleys are sooo tempting. oh well i know i'm going to pick them up and slap them on when the warranty expires.

Yes it does, but then you have to deal with another problem, the gearing
This is a problem I have worried about. I want to get the limiter removed so it can get its top end. but gearing wont take it much further. It doesnt matter for now. But If I move back to germany then it will be needed on a daily basis. What speed does the gearing run out?

I miss full open throttle for as long as you want and the trip taking half the time. And it being legal and safe Brings back some good memories.
I want to know this too. But maybe around 160? Can anyone say for certain.

yea - very fishy - it showed that there was a bigger hp gain on the stock setup then w/ trds a/back and header (and trd doesnt have headers) ..... so im not sure what the deal is but the guy that has it ..... munch ....says the thing kicks ___.

That would be kick butt if it added that much power. But doubtful.

Oh and I dont think the tC could make it to 160 stock. I had a Porche 944S while over there and I had alot of engine work and it topped at about 165-170mph. But maybe with my s/c it could hit it in the tC. If gearing allows...

You can definitely finance the supercharger just so you know. You either need to come up with $3200 down payment when financing through toyota, or you can just finance from anyone other than Toyota Financial, regardless of your down payment. Toyota just doesnt want kids to go and finance the supercharger and not put any money down, and then they realize that they cant really afford it after a while but its stuck in their payments.
If they force a 3200 downpayment then they arent really "financing" the supercharger. They are making you pay for it up front and giving you a 100% loan on the rest of the car.

Your not even gonna hit 145 with the TC's gearing. I know it sucks but it's life as we know it.

For the type of car, when will you ever need to go over 127???? These types of cars are modded for quickness most of the time, not top speed. Even racing them you are either on a short track or a drag strip, and you will not see 127 on either of them even with heavy mods. I am not concerned in the least if it can pass 127... but thats just me.

But I will say the sc is starting to impress me more and more, I was hoping (correctly it seems now) that it was grossly under-rated at 200 BHP. Nice to see they are putting out some decent power with them.
