I would call turbonetics and get them to catch the bill . if they are claiming a specific number and if they use a unichip , which from one car to another with the same turbo shouldnt be spikey like that . now u have to go and spend money to get a unichip tuner. haha thats rediculous .

Guys... another factor with no hard feelings intended is that the kit is only as good and the person installing it. This could very well be intsall related or unichip related... only time will tell!

get turbonetics to pay for it. you did not get what was advertised. unless, of course, it was an installation error.

im pretty sure installation is not an issue but there was the problem with the BOV port but that was corrected. It has the i year no fault, no hassle warranty so Im hoping i get the numbers that were proclaimed for their kit. As stated on their site:

Q: What is Turbonetics warranty policy?
A: Turbonetics offers a 1 year No-Fault/No-Hassle warranty on all of our products from the time of purchase. This includes all turbochargers, intercoolers, turbo systems, you name it. Even if you break your Turbonetics product racing, sens it in through the distributor that you purchased it from and we will fix it no questions asked. You won't find another warranty in the forced induction industry like it. We feel that our product is manufactureed to the highest standards possible and our warranty backs it up.

Of course the warranty is valid but the installation has to be verified first as well. Which is why I asked all those questions. People are very quick to blame a tuning map when in most cases it was an install error that occured. I'm not saying that is the case here but the issues you had with the car stalling were first blamed on the Unichip until I found out you had the BOV fitting in the wrong port and that was causing issues. Things like this make it hard to blindly say your tune is the problem when I don't know for sure if the install is solid. Thats the problem with most kits that ship. All that being said if the install is solid and there is something wrong with the Unichip it will be replaced. But there needs to be data to support that. Is there anyway you can post the fuel curve? Also some data from the boost gauge. What are your readings at idle? Do you have a wideband? Is the car idling and running normal off boost?

at idle its at 20 vac. The car is running super fine off of boost. At idle it stays at about 800 rpms and hold, no fluctuating or anything. As I stated before, I was not able to post the fuel curve...

I paid almost 5G's for the kit and was hoping for the same to almost as close the same numbers. I dont mean to bash turbonetics, I love their kit and looks of it, but where did the HP go? My AFR was about 12.1 then droped down to 10.s all the way across after about 2200rpms and stayed like that. Can someone explained what happened? Is it the Unichip? I tried calling turbonetics and get a hold of reggie but he wont be in til monday...

heres the dyno:

Thats what my Dezod turbo kit dynoed at until I got it tuned.

But then the turbo melted my fan shroud, burned my hood liner, and kept stalling.

And then I sold it. MF

A. You'll have that problem with any turbo setup you do w/ shrouds. Easy fix.
B. Get a Thermo-Tec Cool-It Head Liner
C. Get tuned...PROPERLY.

But you sold the kit anyways so what difference does it make?
