they said the shaft came apart on the inside of the s/c. my scion dealer wont fix it cause they would have to take it apart. this whole s/c experience has just been a bad one for me. and i didnt listen about the header, so trd voided it. im just trying to get the car back to stock so i can sell it

trd is bs on the warrentie you get with the s/c it says puleys, bypass and fuel will void it not headers.

yes, he did ask for money, he has bills to pay, and to figure out how to do this cost him lots of his precious time, and his precious money too, so if people wanted to know what he figured out and had to do to change back to a stock ecu, he just asked for a donation to help cover the cost of his R&D. so while we are a community, it isn't like he is exploiting you, or we him.

now, however, he does let people know for free, so if you ask him, he will tell you. how is that for a scion community?

I was told by TRD and other TRD techs that once the ECU is flashed with the new software, it cant be undone. I am not surprised if it can be undone, I'd just need to hear of some proof.

Oh it can be undone. There is a toyota factory service manual page on how to rollback the firmware update. Its not terribly difficult to do. I've read it before.

The dealer can flash it back, they just have to have the know how. The method I used was to link and and program a used / new ecu to work with your car. So you could grab one from a yard and toss it in the car and have it work.
