Need help installing the gates belt.asap(Nevermind i got it)
Heres the deal. I got my NST 9.5 pulley installed but my mechanic put my oem belt on cuz he said the gates belt wouldnt fit
I told him it does but he didnt believe it. So now every time i step on the gas it slips and squeals like nuts. Im gonna try and put the belt on myself but i need to know if i need to jack up the car in order to get the belt back on? Any advice will be appreciated.
I believe when you get your supercharger installed, they put a sticker on the inside hood of how the belts are supposed to be placed. If not, somewhere on TRD sparks, their supercharger install manual has a layout there. Hope that helps :X
yeah he is kinda oldschool, hes more into muscle cars and such. but hes mad cool and hooks me up so i cant complain. 2much tc, its pretty straight forward you just loosen the tensioner bolt, slip the belt off. I found it was much easier to jack the car up to put the new belt on cuz the power steering pulley is pretty far back there. I had someone loosen the tensioner bolt again while i slipped the belt over the last pulley witch was the s/cer pulley.
