Default Need help, Low idle/ high AFR

so the new tune i got from superwhite08 is the sickest tune i have had by far, thanks man.

BUT...for some reason my idle's RPM has been really weird, it barely even hits 800 and sits right above 500

also, my afr's are really high and go above 18 most of the time

i suspect a leak on the hot side my piping because one of them popped out earlier today and when i stuck it back in it went somewhat back to normal but i don't know.

allllllllso. i kinda have exhaust leak that i'm aware of but i don't see why that would effect my AFR's that greatly...it has to be somewhere in the IC piping right?

unless the exhaust leak is big, i dont think its much of a probem. Your map might just need some adjustment at idle if its still lean after fixing the IC leak.. My tuner said as long as there is no load lean afrs are fine

can you find out what your fuel trim is in your ECU at idle?

From there i can help you, otherwise all i can say is around 600-800 RMPs ~ 4-8psia add 5-10 to the pulse values, if the map is normal all the way across the bottom (4-6psia) is similar and even when your cruising its probobly also lean so adjust them accordingly as well.

*this is all saying your fule trims are +/- 5% otherwise you need to adjust your o2 map to tell it to run slightly richer.

The lean condition is causing the low idle but why is important. Check the MAF and piping for any leaks. Otherwise it may need some adjustment in those cells.

i can't see the fuel trims cuz i don't have a odb scanner

i think it was the ic piping because i just had a pipe redone last week and never really had the chance to check their work.

the map i had was pulling -35.7% fuel at idle and i had to bring it all the way to -20.3% to get the AFR's around 14.7.

I know your trying to make your car driveable so you can make the trip here to AZ...

but what size injectors do you run?

I have a suggestion but we'll start there

Regards-

Todd

todd, the map he has is mine. it was setup for 700cc injectors and 10psi. i don't know if he rescaled it or not. aen you can go into the 02 voltage table and set if for like 3.0 volts at idle that should greatly help you with the idle but you may get a cel if the trims are that far off

yea i did, and im at 10psi too

it turns out that it was the leak, its ok for now...but i still have the CEL on so i don't know if the ecu is correcting everything that went wrong

if i change the o2 map and get a CEL for my fuel trims the ecu would try to correct everything making my AFR's all crazy. which is what happened prior to your map.

3.3 is perfect for me man, thanks =) also...the -15 ignition helped alot too
