are you talking about tranny cooler or oil cooler? Iv have a b&m oil cooler iv ran for quite some time, I gave it away and it somehow made its way back on my car..lol. its been a great unit but not much difference can be seen, it takes longer in the morning for my oil to warm up. Most run without one.

Put an oil temp sensor in and see if you actually need one.

The reason I ask is I'm gona build my car to 500hp. Putthe 5th gear swap and hit some hih rpms maby like 7000rpms plus. So at those high rpms I'm no sure it it would be worth my time....

Also at the 500hp point would a trans coolr be worth it?

There both pretty easy n cheap installs so if it would protect my car or help at all id do it.

Do any of the high hp tcs run them? Keep in mind this will b my daily driver

No way to run a trans cooler on a 5 speed unless you setup a custom oiling system like ptuning did awhile back.

500hp reliable daily driver.. you better find another car bud. That power on our transmissions will rip some gears up. What are your plans as far as built motor and head to hit that 500hp mark.

It wasnt a kit, it was a massive modification to the transmission housing which included adding a forced lubrication system, oil pump, and cooler, along with probably several other things Im missing of the top of my head. It was never a production item, and would probably cost several thousand $$ to build. Unless youre road racing the car, it wouldnt be worthwhile IMHO.

Id like to have diff maps so when im daily driving i push the botton and im at like 9psi waste gate pressure. Then when im seeing a corvette or something i wana mess with ill hit the button and turn it up to X psi that id make once i tune.

My plan is to:
Start with Block take it in to my machine Blueprint it sleeve and bore it
Not 100% on the rods or pistons in less someone tells me what to get and has good reasons why

But i was thinking: CP pistons, K1 rods, Cams , Main bearing caps,1100cc ptuing injectors, Biggest fuel pump, racing thermostat, New Rad, The system that regulates ur fuel and makes it flow at a consistent psi at high rpm, solid motor mounts.

And a Clutch... What Clutch do u guys recomend?

But everything that can be cryogenic treated ill send in.

And a stand alone. This is going to be a long process im gona keep my car how it is now at 7psi keep the head in great shape then when im done with the motor and have the clutch parts and some new breaks and even coil overs ill throw it all on. gona be night and day hahah

7psi to 25 or high lol and coil overs and swaybars and struts

If you don't want to get elaborate and drill/tap transmission casing while it is apart (for oil nozzles aimed at gears)..... You can recirculate the oil back to fill plug. A good oil scavenging pump syphons from drain plug location, through cooler and back to fill plug.
