You said in a earlier post you were getting smoke out the rear exhaust? Is it white or blue? Does it go away after the car warms up or doesn it get worse as you get on it?
I sent the turbo back once before and they told me nothing was wrong with it. I was told by turbochargers.com that it could be the return line not draining properly so its forcing the oil back into the turbo charger and past the shaft seal. Then they told me its probably my brand new motor lol I havent talked to kenny yet because to be honest he didnt have an answer for me last time other then send it back. I tried to do whatever I could to try to fix it, but nothing is working so it has to be the turbo itself. Im very iffy about using this knock off style turbo. The car will smoke lightly at start up and tends to get worse as you rev it or drive it at higher rpms. Today I had my girlfriend rev it and it sprayed out specs of oil all over my hand. I checked the return line and it was warm with the feeling of oil passing threw. So I assumed it is working properly but yet there is still oil getting into the exhaust from the turbo charger.

BTW, The smoke is white.

Do you have any pictures of your current setup?? Have you tried to remove the line to see if there was a lot of oil build up inside?? Also I assume you have been checking your oil level for your car but I know when I had my problem I was a quart low.

Yeah check the oil level. Spraying oil out the exhaust isnt good. Odd though if your burning oil the smoke should have a blue tint to it. Why dont you try and rebuild the turbo yourself since it seems turbochargers.com doesnt want to help. Are you sure that the oil is coming from teh turbo and not the motor. Have you taken off the manifold to check?

You could send your turbo to have a second opinion... Blouch is very respectable in Rebuilds.

Ive removed, checked, redone the line atleast ten times. there was never any build up, ive touched the line while the car was running and I can feel the oil passing threw. Ive taken the center cartridge apart plenty of times only to find a sh.. load of oil in the exhaust side so I know its the turbo. I just redid the line again today and its still smoking. I don't want to rebuild because one I dont have the money right now, and two why should i have to shell out money because of a faulty turbo. I may have to send it somewhere else to get a 2nd opinion

Im lazy to read everything on this thread, but blue smoke from the exhaust?

1. How low/high did you tap the oil pan? it should be as high as possible to prevent backflow to the turbo

2. How's your oil return line? there should be no kinks and always downhill from the turbo

3. How's your turbo seals? check if you havent

4. Is the car running weird or loss of performance or anything or losing oil? try doing compression test

1) its like midway, its the original tap from zpi
2) there are no kinks now, but ill check it again
3) idk, i have to check the intake pipe
4) im not losing oil, but idk.... it feels the same i guess

the tap being on midway might be the cause or blown seals, but try to do compression test just to give you a piece of mind its not on the motor
