My thoughts exactly But congrats on the build.
To my knowledge you and myself are the only built tC's that are boosted??

Well, my car is my DD but I don't drive a lot. I office out of my house. So my DD is just when I want to get the car out. I own a 2003 monte carlo ss, and a 1995 civic. So If needed I can get around. I already show my car and would like to start taking it to the track.

The guy that is bringing out my motor got stuck this weekend and is on the way today... so no pics yet! Hopefully he is showing up by the morning and I will have some pics up this week. I don't expect anything from ZPI for a week or two.

Hey out of curiosity(spelling), do you happen to know of a girl named Tara w/ an INSANE wide body silver/puple eclipse from Lawton?

Good luck though w/ the install, I hope it goes smoothly!

if he parks it... why spend the money on your DD knowing that your DD will be a track car....

hope you have another car?? i dunno.. lol

i have work done to mine but i DD it

I didn't say you couldn't drive it. I'm just saying with low compression pistons, it no longer becomes DD friendly. So, I would advise to get another car.

Our BSP is barely DD friendly. Rich as hell, and pulls hard.
Any turbo car can be a DD no matter what your boost is or what your block is made of. How many people really smash the throttle from red light to red light with a 30 psi set up, plus if your smart you will have a piggy back with at least 4 different maps.

I work with a guy who has an 04 SRT-4, 400+ HP, best time at the track 11.7, 26 psi DAILY, DTEC-FC, and drives it to work every day! Oh yea and his track car is a custom built 7.0L twin turbo mustang.

Come on dude there is no such thing as a Scion TC track car, your giving it a little too much credit.

Then you must not be aware of ZPI's car then huh? Enough said. And I'm not talking about the Silver tC, I'm talking about the FM one.

You can drive anything everyday if you want. I'm speaking in terms of would you WANT to drive it everyday. Some people do, some people don't. We are the people that DO, just incase you were wondering.
Very good point there. I totally forgot about the FM tC being the track car.

Rythmn (i dont know your name), I didnt mean it to seem like I said you couldnt DD it anymore, I was so tired when I made that post. I had just got back into PHX, AZ after a weekend in PITT. I had complete jetlag Leaving Pitt at 1230pm and landing in PHX at 130pm yeah...lol I passed out in Baggage Claim.
I feel your pain...Literally. Just got back from Maryland from my friends wedding.

Back on topic...

I like that Eclipse by the way...Rather nice. No Lambo doors though.

I am not sure where all this misconception comes into play but I would like to clear the air on some things.

1. Our pistons come with spiral locks and rings no rods
2. The stock pistons are actually very strong they have a reputation for being weak but ultimately they are just the first thing to fail. This is not to say they are weak but will fail if the car is not tune properly and will ultimately fail when the power levels exceed a certain level. 300whp is not this level.
3. The stock rods will hold high 400whp ours failed on what we estimate to be in the 520-540whp range on the silver car at the shootout. We estimate this power level based on MPH at the track in compared to other cars that we did put on the dyno.
4. Low compression pistons will not affect the daily driving capability of the car at all. Yes there is a little less low end power but we are talking 10-15% loss it is not like the car will not have the power to merge off boost or something. With our standard kit this will be barely noticeable at best.

We do have a track car that is nearly completion but with the exception of the interior the car could very well maintain it street ability if we so chose it to. You can have a very fast gas efficient tC and drive it everyday that is what is so great about imports in general.

I just think its so funny b/c i used to talk to her over AIM, then she got really busy, so I checked her cardomain (shes one of my friends on there) and I was like DAYUMN, and I watched some video where she was a featured ride on the show.. LOL.

Tell her I said whats up, she probably wont even remember me LOL

Maybe tell her about someone who told her to go to NOPI Nat's...she might remember then

I've had major issues with getting a motor here. I got screwed on two motors and now finally have my third one on the way.... long story short i did get refunded on both motors. The motor should be here tomorrow or latest monday. Some of my ZPI stuff has shown up. I'm still waiting on the PP head and pistons (and obviously the turbo) I hope to have my car up and running within the next two weeks minus the turbo. Once the turbo shows up I will put it back in the shop. Once the motor shows up I will start posting picks.

UPDATE:

Finally recieved a working motor.... i'm still waiting on items from ZPI. I have started pulling the old motor out and prepping the new motor for the PP head, etc.

As soon as the ZPI items get here I will update the thread and add pics.

We are going to tune at a dyno so I will have numbers when done.
