So I've heard of people painting an intercooler black to give the car a sleeper look, but would powdercoating work?...

Figure powdering is more heat resilient than paint, so may save some trouble down the road w/ chipping and whatnot...

Anyways I was going to get my piping coated for my dezod kit, and figured why not get the intercooler done, since I am getting a great price...

Ahh, an simple question that can be answered by searching. Anodize it.

 

IMHO powdercoating is too thick for an intercooler. I painted mine with radiator paint. Sure it has to be touched up sometimes.. but it takes 2 seconds.

 

When you powder coat an intercooler, It reduces the efficiency of it by 5%. So unless your running crazy CRAZY HP then i wouldnt worry about it but anodizing would be the best way

 

It would look better but justing using spray paint can look just as good...

 

Is that what you used redrumtc?
