good videos . Cool vintage cars. After watching part 3 and 4 I wonder why I am excited at all about traveling to dragrace. Will they be doing that mini challenge event next year? I wouldn't mind joining yall.

 

They are looking to do it at Talladega (little one I presume), because sadly enough, our track will be closing next year...

You would have loved the Vintage Demo race. The vintage cars that participated, got a full lap head start. When they crossed the line on the first lap, they released the modern cars (S2k, Teggy, Z06, 350z...etc). So, you had to hustle and chase down the Vintage cars, pass them to be on their lap, and then lap them again in order to be in front of them. It was an 8 lap battle. First day, one of our locals in the Z06 won. Second day, he wasn't there and another guy named Brian in his S2k almost one. He spun out, which caused him to end up in second behind that Vintage Green Lotus. Lotus took it the second day. It was an AWESOME race, and a challenge to catch those Vintage guys with the lap lead.

 

thats bull that there closing a huge track you got there.. It look like you & jester were having so much fun wish we had a track like that near miami

 

Yea it will be a sad day when we have no home to lay rubber on. The next nearest track is about 200 miles away (Barber). That seems to be the next best solution, aside from that, everyone say's Barber is immaculate and perhaps the cleanest and nicest track on the East Coast/Southern Region.

Wasn't necessary to bring anything else...lol. Scion Exposed was a blast. Wish we saw more SL members in the F/I section attend the event. That's ok though, we can continue to take home the Fastest tC trophy just fine. PTuning and MCS held it down.

That was Shane from NY. I talk with him through Facebook a lot. He has a pieced together kit @ 11lbs if I recall. 57trim turbo.


You talking about for the Track, or for this drag event at Scion Exposed?

Road Course I run Kuhmo V710's on stock rims. I have stock rims, so all my tires are spec to fit those. I just had street tires at Scion Exposed also, so nothing special. Running Direzza Star Specs for daily driving.

Yeah just two runs. first run 13.6 @ 108 second 13.5 @ 109. Full Time Attack aero still on and minimal launching since I'm on a TRD clutch.

We trying to get together for a little swing up to Bownling Green to run at the track nearest us, cause that track at Scion Exposed wasn't prepped. When you are sliding all around the track in 3rd gear, kinda tells you the track has no prep done. Looking for low 13s on street tires without my Aero to slow me down and a little psi taken out of the tires for some grip.

Yeah those would be the Kuhmo's. They have lasted me 2 season N/A and still going so far.
