Default PTUNING: Spec-RS Competition V-band Manifold Turbo Kit (updated pics page 1)

We've been getting a lot of inquiry by customers with built motors, looking to run beyond the power potential of our 57 trim turbo included in our Spec-SS turbo kit (450whp). For the past two seasons and two Redline Time Attack championships, we've been running the Garrett GT30R as well as the GT35R on the same turbo manifold included in our Spec-SS kit. We want to offer these race-proven GT turbos with our Spec-RS turbo kit.

To set a new standard in a competition-ready turbo kit for the scion tC, we will be introducing our Spec-RS turbo kit. The Spec-RS turbo kit will initially be available as a "Tuner kit" (without ecu and fueling). This kit is marketed towards customer looking to race their car or want to run ridiculous powers with a built motor.

The manifold design will be the same efficient SS equal-length low-mount manifold just like our Spec-SS manifold, but we've added a v-band merge collector for ease of maintenance and eliminated potential rusted bolts or leak at the turbine inlet flange all together. With the Spec-RS v-band manifold, and our v-band exhaust system, you will have a full race-style v-band turbo setup once only available on race cars.

The Spec-RS v-band manifold will come in two configurations, one for the Garrett GT Turbo with Tial SS v-band housing and one for the Precision Turbo v-band housing:

- Garrett dual BB GT3076R (aka GT30R) turbo w/Stainless Steel Tial V-band turbine housing
- Garrett dual BB GT3582R (aka GT35R) turbo w/Stainless Steel Tial V-band turbine housing
- Precision HP-55/58 Series (5557, 5857, 5862) w/Billet Compressor non-BB w/Precision V-band turbine housing
- Precision HP-60/62 Series (6057, 6062, 6262, 6265) w/Billet Compressor non-BB w/Precision V-band turbine housing

Below is a picture of the current Spec-SS manifold and right below that is the Spec-RS v-band merge collector that will replace the 4-bolt t3 flange merge collector. The manifold runners and configuration will be the same between the Spec-RS and Spec-SS. Both our Spec-SS and Spec-RS turbo kits include our new Turbosmart Hyper-gate 45mm v-band wastegate.

Here's a few updated pictures of the spec-rs v-band manifold with twin WG. This is manifold is for a customer of ours running a Precision 6262 turbo. This is the same manifold we run on our TA scion race car but with a GT35R turbo.

Thanks kevin. We wanted to take forced induction for the scion tC to the next level.

Sexy...and that makes me extremely happy. Its like you read my mind, cause I was going to ask you about making my manifold with a v-band connection for ease in swapping turbos.

Yes, we know the v-band setup has been done. We've already done it on our S2000 turbo manifold and Evo 8/9 manifold. There's no production tc turbo manifold running this setup. I'm sure there are a few custom one-off tc manifolds with the v-band configuration but definitely not something you can buy in a kit and definitely not for the precision v-band housing. so what's your point again.

the dezod alpha series kit, that is still in production, has this STANDARD, and guru, a sl member, used to sell a production kit from his company, (cant remember what it was called), that also was fully v-band. im pretty sure that yamaha16bw is still running it to this day. so my point is that you are not bringing anything new to the table, or, "taking forced induction for the scion tc to the next level."

but congrats on the mani. looks good.
