Im in the process of replacing my engine, I went with an 08 engine and it included the intake manifold.

I noticed the 08 manifold has an extra port next to the TB that the 06 doesnt. Im assuming i can just use it as a source for vac/boost for my pressure sensor or something, but I wanted to make sure it wasnt for something special.

Also I noticed on the back of my 06 intake manifold there is a vacuum tube with a black box on it and it seems one end goes to atmosphere. I dont see anything that would have connected to it. Is this correct?

so you're putting an 08 engine ito an 06 tc? i don't know the answers to those questions, but you might run into complications with that because the 08 engine uses a different MAF, cams, and ecu such that the 06 ecu might not be able to work with the 08 engine.

 

i was told the ecu will learn what it needs to. and im using the 06 maf and harness.

Im just not sure what the vacuum tube behind the IM (06) is supposed to go to or vent to atmosphere and the extra port on the IM (0

 

yea man....on the back of the 06 it has a line going to atmosphere.....i was wondering about it also but found out.
